Temporary closure of Picket Lane, South Perrott - 28th September - 7th October 2026

DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984 as amended. All
vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along PICKET LANE, SOUTH PERROTT between its junction with Manor
Close and Bellamy Farm, a distance of approximately 65 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health
and safety regulations which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to
highway users. It will come into operation on 28 September 2026 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it
is anticipated that the works will be completed by 07 October 2026.

This Order will enable National Grid, safe access to carry out a supply upgrade.

The alternative route, which will be sign posted is as follows; Chedington Lane – Village Road – A356
